Rose-Infused Cocktail

FOR THE ROSE SYRUP

  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • Juice from 2 fresh limes
  • 1/4 c. rose water

FOR THE COCKTAIL

  • 1.5 oz of Gin
  • 0.75 oz Rose Syrup
  • 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz of fresh grapefruit juice
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters

Create the Rose Syrup by bringing water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes then add the lime juice and rose water. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Cool before using.

For the cocktail, add ingredients to a shaker, add ice and shake for 20 seconds.

Strain into coupe glass and add a splash of seltzer water.

Garnish with a rose petal.
